Guri

Guri has to be my absolute favorite Expanded Universe character in the Star Wars Universe. I love the whole Human Replica Droid (can you say "Replicant" i.e. Blade Runner) thing. This is actually my 2nd version of Guri. The first was never photographed.
Guri is made from a slave Leia and ewok celebration Leia (PLC). I used the slave Leia head. I cut off the back of it, and glued on the hair from the ewok Leia, using sculpey to blend it in. I trimmed the length of the hair to just longer than shoulder length, then painted her hair blonde.

I added sculpey to her breast to giver her fuller - i.e. bigger - breast (as in the comics, cards, etc.). I added sculpey to make her gloves and glued pieces of rubber bands on the upper arms. I also used sculpey on her boots to make them look plainer. I then painted her similar to the color scheme in the comics; this was so I would not have to paint the skirt.

This is my third (final?) version of Guri. I simply took the second version and change some things. First I swapped the heads. I used the head from a Slave Leia, cut the back of the head off and glued on the hair from the Ewok Leia (PLC). Then I blended the pieces with Sculpey and painted the hair yellow, with a wash of light brown. Next, I added some Sculpey between her breast to give her more of a "Lara Croft stretched shirt" look. Next I cut off the Slave Leia boots and glued on the boots from an old Volga the Witch figure from Voltron. I used a piece of a rubber band to make the tops of the boots to hide the line wear the boots are glued to the legs. Then I painted the boots grey. I also changed up the hands. I scraped off the Sculpey, that formed the gloves and repainted the arms and gloves.
